Heather lost her long battle with ALS in 2011. She filled her life with joy and laughter until the end.
Her family and friends are honouring her by raising money to find a cure. This blog is about that journey.

Great pic of you and Uncle Dave. Who knew he could model the high fashion ALS tee’s?
Paris Fairgrounds, the website says to purchase tickets, where do you purchase them from? At the event or online?
Hi Dot,
Thanks for visiting!!
You can get tickets at Team Vincent Motor Sports in Ayr, or on the day of the event at the gate. Gate opens at 2!

Hi Martha,
My husband I just drove in and paid at the gate! I was good to see Haymaker + support a very worthy cause.
We have both lost friends to ALS and it was our pleasure to be part of your event.
BTW loved how you organized the food booth. Sped things up with buying the tickets in advance; sure frees up the kitchen volunteers to serve their customers quickly. We will keep that in mind for our own non-profit future events.

Hi Dot,
I am really glad you came, and that you had a good time. We hope to see you and your husband again next year!
Heather,
I read your book Saturday evening after returning from the Hootenanny and what an uplifting and inspirational experience that was. You go, Girl!
Warm hugs,
Your Second Cousin from Ottawa,

Doing things for Heather makes all the work easy!
What a great site Martha! I love the beautiful girl with her beautiful smile at the top of the page. She is truly a wonder and a marvel to behold every single day. She has changed all our lives for the better.
As we begin another new year, Heather continues to inspire us to make the most of each day and greet the challenges of life with determination, wit, and hope. Is there anyone in the world more resilient than her? I think not…her courage, grace and strength is nothing short of heroic!
I thought I would check out the site today to see if there was any information on Tony Proudfoot (someone had mentioned his story to me last night). Sure enough, Martha is on top of things – and what a great letter is posted via the Gazette, written by Tony Proudfoot himself. Thanks for sharing this, Martha…and for the other links and updates on ALS initiatives. There is talk of another mini-hoot concert coming up in February, so Lynn will need to fill you in on the details. It will be fun to honour our girl, Heather, with some music from the heart! Love, Joy & Blessings for 2011…

Tablet PC Blog
Greetings! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one? Thanks a lot!
I think it’s WordPress that automatically provides the captcha plugin.
When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!
Sorry, I don’t have any idea why that’s going on. You could try contacting WordPress
