Welcome to the HH4H Site

Zack Werner, Heather, Dr. Strong

If you are new to the site then thank you for dropping by.  If you would like to make a donation to ALS you can do so right here via our site!

Both sites will securely allow you to donate via credit card.  Remember that you will also get a tax receipt for your donation.

Please take a moment and think about how your donation could change the future of ALS research in Canada.

Parking and the Hootenanny

Mother nature does not seem to be cooperating with us this year, and it would appear that we’ll be short on parking.

We have TWO FREE SHUTTLE BUSES, generously donated by Sharp Bus Lines Limited.  They will run on the  hour starting at 11:00 from both Glen Morris and Ayr.  The stops in Ayr are at the Curling Club and the Arena.   In Glen Morris they will run from the Community Centre.

Please help us avoid a dangerous parking situation on Greenfield Road by taking the bus.  You are welcome to bring your chairs and bags on the bus.

Thank you Sharp’s for the valuable donation.sharpbuslines

Bookmarks, Rehearsals and Blue

June 2009 018Just a quick reminder to everyone in the ‘community choir’ that we have a rehearsal on Sunday at the Glen Morris United Church at 1:30.  Please be prompt, and remember your music if you have it.  Lynn is certain that we have all memorized the words to

We are also singing

  • Bicycle Built for Two – Take me out to the Ball Game
  • This Train is Bound for Glory
  • Amazing Grace
    and
  • Praise His Holy Name.

We have a final rehearsal on Friday August 7th at 7 PM at Fordleigh Farms.  Bring your courage and smiles and remember we are the opening act at the Hootenanny!

We have bookmarks to hand out promoting ALS research and awareness.  Feel free to pick them up from Heather’s house and to distribute them anywhere you think people would pick them up.  Thanks Heather and Karen M-H for the beautiful design.

Blue – wear those t-shirts everywhere and remember to ask around if anyone needs tickets.

We Are Getting Close Now

The Hootenanny is just around the corner!  Acts are confirmed, the community choir is working on its pieces.  Everything is coming together nicely!

If you think you have  acouple of hours that day to volunteer we would be happy to find you a job.  Remember that if you (or someone you love) is a highschool student volunteer hours will be credited.  We’ll need help the day before and the day of the event.

Please contact Libby and Tim Barrie our volunteer Coordinators, or leave a comment here and I’ll make sure you get hooked up with them.
