A friend of Heather’s in Grade 7 invited Heather into her class to teach her friends about ALS, and how you live with the disease.
Brooke had Heather come in to Mother Theresa Catholic Elementary school and answer questions from the kids about her battle. Some of the questions were practical, some funny, and some were very serious. The class got so much from Heather, and she got so much in return. She is now on their prayer list. They are also brainstorming ideas for an ALS fundraiser. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know what it is.
Thank you Brooke for helping to spread the word about ALS. Thank you Heather for sharing your story again.

Teri, Meg and Bob had a fundraising BBQ a few weekends ago. It was a joint fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research, and for ALS Research.
They raised over $600 on a cold and windy spring day. Awesome job. Thank you!

June is ALS month. Take some time now, sit down with your friends and family, and think about what YOU can do to help raise the awareness of ALS. Participate in a walk, have a bake sale, throw a pot luck dinner and fund raiser. Check out the ALS site.

If you would like to sing in a community choir at the Hootenanny then Lynn would like to hear from you!
Lynn is planning a performance with singers (or wanna be singers). She thinks that we’ll need about 4 rehearsals to get us into top form (she’s good!).
