Hello Friends-

Robert and I are just back from a wonderful weekend in the Haliburton area. Our friend, Dave Vincent and Team Vincent Motorsports along with Snowtrax Television hosted the first ever “Ride for ALS” as a show of remembrance for their friend John Massingbred, who fought a short battle with ALS since his diagnosis in April 08. With over 100 sleds, it was a glorious time and the spa at the Pinestone Inn was as great as the trails. We saw  2 deer and Dave even took me for a 3 hour “puttputt” in the “Elite” model which resembles a golf cart on skis but with way more horsepower!!! He drove and I waved at the people(hahaha)!

Between the silent and live auction and individual and corporate donations, they are well over $18,000. WOOWEE! All proceeds go to our friend Dr.Strong and he is thrilled with this news!

In my remarks-yes! I got to speak!!! I said I wanted them to go home from the weekend and talk, talk, talk til they are BLUE in the face about the ride and the cause it was for. They are very generous people and we are lucky enough to now call them friends:) If I can figure out how, I’ll send my short speech out to you…but wanted to keep you updated to our latest adventure.
